Healthy Snack Options for Meeting Planners on the Go

Back to Blog

When it comes to being a meeting planner, you have little to no time to fuel your body with the healthy snacks you need. During your busy day, you may be too concentrated on making sure your event runs smoothly that you forget to eat! When this happens, your first instinct might be to grab some fast food, but in doing so, may cause you to feel sluggish and have lack of clarity throughout the day. This is why having healthy snack options ready to go can make or break your performance during those big meetings.

Even on your most demanding days, healthy snacks are your best bet to being in tip top shape for the day. Therefore, we created a list of some great healthy snack options for you because we know that being busy doesn’t have to come at a cost to your health.

  1. Hummus

This healthy spread or dip can be used with either vegetables, pita chips, or spread on toast. Hummus can help fight hunger cravings and balance blood sugar levels. This could help curb those afternoon meeting cravings and help boost your energy.

2. Almonds & Mixed Nuts

Grab a handful of these bad boys and you are ready to go! Nuts contain healthy fats, fiber, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. They can also help reduce and suppress hunger, helping you feel fuller for longer. These are great to eat before another break out session, or right before a long meeting.

3. Boiled Eggs

You may be wondering why I mention Boiled Eggs, but the ease of preparing and eating these are certainly some of my favorite options for a quick snack. A high protein kick start to your day will help you maintain glucose control throughout the day, which helps you crave those afternoon blood sugar spikes. Low in calories, but high in protein, eggs contain all 9 amino acids making them top contender for quick healthy snack option on the go.

4. Containers

Yes, Containers. Deciding on which container or bag you use for your food will either make or break your mid meeting snack. If you have your almonds free floating within the same bag as your boiled egg, things can get messy quickly. Choose a bento box, it has multiple compartments within one container. Now, you can happily place and separate all of your snacks without fear of mixing or touching.

Healthy Snacks are important for Meeting Planners during any event they have, whether that be at conference venues, corporate events, or at a business meeting. When you make these snacks a priority, you’ll quickly realize the wonderful benefits of feeling fuller for longer, and sustaining your energy for your clients AND for you!
